Chilly 3D
A real robotics project at the intersection of 3D design, mechanics, motion control and experimental engineering — with the decisions, difficulties and revisions documented as they happen.
Build. Test. Learn. Improve.
The record begins in September 2026. The dated articles describe early component testing and printed mechanical prototypes; they should not be mistaken for a claim that the complete robot is already operational.
Read the development journalFrom an idea to a mechanical design
Chilly 3D began with a concept for a physical, 3D-printed robot. The robot rendering illustrates the intended visual direction — it is a concept, not a photograph of a completed machine. Early design work was documented in Blender.
Printing, assembling and revising
The September and October 2026 development notes describe real work on servo holders, joints and printed leg components. Designs were repeatedly tested, adjusted and printed again as the mechanical assembly developed.
The first working components
The early project journal records six Feetech STS3215-C018 servos, initial identification and testing, and supporting controller hardware. The corresponding Engineering pages contain the historical details and distinguish available parts from future plans.
Engineering progress, documented honestly
The joint-assembly photographs show the practical side of the project. Later movement systems, sensing, software and AI are goals for continued development; the public journal will distinguish design objectives from verified achievements.
