I am Søren Lange, the person behind Chilly ApS and the robotics.chilly.ac website.
My professional world revolves around technical solutions, engineering, industrial and marine refrigeration, HVAC systems, service and equipment. I enjoy understanding how things work, identifying problems and finding practical solutions.
But my interests have never stopped at refrigeration and engineering.
From computers to robotics
I have a long-standing interest in computers, programming and technology. I come from the days when building a website meant working directly with HTML, PHP, MySQL and tools such as Dreamweaver and PHP-Fusion. I have always enjoyed experimenting, learning by doing and understanding what happens behind the screen.
That same curiosity naturally extends to robotics, automation and intelligent systems.
For me, technology is most interesting when it connects the digital world with something physical — when software, electronics and mechanical systems work together to accomplish a real task.
A hands-on approach
I prefer a practical, hands-on approach. I like to understand a system, experiment with it, troubleshoot problems and improve things step by step. I appreciate solutions that are reliable, understandable and useful rather than unnecessarily complicated.
Why this website exists
Robotics.chilly.ac is a place for this technical curiosity: exploring ideas, developing projects, documenting progress and sharing what I learn along the way.
The site is owned by Chilly ApS, but it also reflects my personal interest in technology and the possibilities of robotics. The projects and observations shared here are distinct from the company’s commercial refrigeration services.
I believe that learning never really stops. There is always another problem to solve, another technology to explore and another idea worth trying.
And, preferably, a good cup of coffee somewhere in the process.
